There are a ton of people that talk about doing stuff, but create very little. Years roll by and their production speaks for itself. Which is zero. Everyone talks a good game, very few do it. So why is that? Why do people find it nearly impossible to DO anything besides dream? What stops them from taking action??
The years roll by.

January 10, 2011
It is with a smile and a wave that I retire the Art Studio Show and from a creative public life. I am taking a Ditco like sabbital as I persue my artistic and personal passions.
I am not stopping creation–far from it. Many personal books and comics are planned for this year and beyond. GIANTS, my full color magazine is still coming, deadline April 1 2011, and YOU are invited to submit your stories about Giants. Contact me here if you wish to do so.
I want to thank all the listeners to the Art Studio and the readers of this blog, that made it so much fun for me. And that includes the hecklers. You made it fun for me too. God Bless you all, and keep creating. See you all..on the flip side. Dano
Superman/Batman: Apocalypse
January 6, 2011Superman/Batman: Apocalypse
I saw this animated film. The art was great. Some of the very best fight scenes ever put into any film. The sequence at the end (When Supergirl fights Darsied) is simply amazing. 10 stars out of 5.
I loved this one so much. The guys that made this, have made an amazing film. Simpy amazing.
If you do not know the 4th World series, or the history of DC comics from 1970 up..you won’t “get” this movie. But if you are a Jack Kirby 4th World fan, this is an amazing, incredible film. Simply Amazing.
The Cover to Giants.

Custom comics like The Office.
December 29, 2010On The Office starring Steve Carell (in his last season) the Christmas show Jim got a custom comic about himself from Pam. This may be the greatest free advertising in custom comics history. The Office may be the #1 show on TV and to have them talk about Jim getting a custom comic book and loving it is pretty amazing. It maybe the best representation of people drawing comics about other people or even comics themselves in 25 years. Fantastic. It makes people that like comics look cool. Hats off to the Office. and Steve Carell will be missed.
For those interested in having a comic made for themselves, maybe even about themselves, visit www.colorcustomcomics.com.
