There are a ton of people that talk about doing stuff, but create very little. Years roll by and their production speaks for itself. Which is zero. Everyone talks a good game, very few do it. So why is that? Why do people find it nearly impossible to DO anything besides dream? What stops them from taking action??

I know for me, having two kids slowed me down. I have always worked on something, but publishing became less frequent. As I’ve gotten older I’ve learned time goes by waaaay too fast.

That’s a sweepingly broad statement. Who are these people in which you speak, and more importantly…why does their lack of production bother you so intensely? Maybe to ‘you’ art and comics are more than just a hobby… it’s your way of life. More than likely you’ve surrounded yourself and immersed yourself in producing art with your whole soul and whole heart. Being an artist can be a very solitary lifestyle, most artists isolate themselves. You have to sacrifice a hell of a lot to draw, paint, create, and usually at the expense of relationships with others. An artist has to be very passionate about his/her work. You may be in a unique position where you are isolated from family and friends and surrounded completely by art. I’m not sure what you do economically but do you have a full time job? A full time family, are you a full time student or going to school and working and raising a family? Everyone’s output level is different. You might be very productive and you have every reason to be proud. Just don’t waste your energy hating those that can’t, won’t, or don’t live up to your standards of output whoever you are.
